Communications for a Government-owned company
Project description
We’ve been working on a number of interesting communications projects for this company since its formation over five years ago. With their remit to manage all of the major road projects across the UK, as well as improving customer safety and journey experiences, they’re well used to engaging with employees, customers, regulators and wider stakeholder groups.
When they ask us to help them with some internal change programme communications, we were more than happy to help.
What we did
We understood our client needed our help to inform and influence their executive team around some important business change decisions, and in cascading the changes to employees and wider internal stakeholders. Our methods needed to be clear, creative and generate positive support.
As a broad internal communications project, we held a series of meetings and interviews with key staff to help us to clearly understand the business change and its implications. From this work, we crystallised messages with evidence, we also developed a new internal brand, including a logo aligned to the corporate identity, to help communicate in a moment the fundamental message driving the business change.
We developed a crisp and visually engaging executive briefing pack to make decision-making as straightforward as possible. We later refined the executive agreements into a communications campaign for employees and wider internal stakeholders. The campaign included briefings, presentations, workshops and even branded group activities and props; ensuring the cascade was highly informative, engaging and memorable.
Outcome
Our client was delighted with the support and feedback they received for our change communications from their Executive team, staff and stakeholder groups. We simplified complex executive decisions and communicated the change internally in a vibrant and engaging way that generated widespread clarity and ongoing support.
The success of this work has led to further internal communications projects with this client.
